Araucárias no Local Onde Seria Construída a Avenida Paulista, São Paulo, Brasil - Alfred Usteri

Araucárias no Local Onde Seria Construída a Avenida Paulista, São Paulo, Brasil - Alfred Usteri
São Paulo - SP
Faz parte do livro "Flora der Umgebung der Stadt São Paulo" , Autor Alfred Usteri, Publicado em 1911 na Alemanha.
Fotografia

As listed in the Shelby American Automobile Club’s 1968-70 Shelby Registry, this 1968 Shelby GT350 fastback was delivered new to Dub Richardson Ford in Oklahoma City on January 18, 1968. Because it was never returned to the dealer for an intake recall/replacement, the car still retains its rare original cast-iron intake manifold. For 1968, Shelby GT350 and GT500 production moved to the A.O. Smith facility in Ionia, Michigan, where Mustang convertibles and fastbacks received updated fiberglass body panels and other components to set them apart from regular Mustangs. Most notably, the front fascia got a different look with larger grille opening, fog lamps and a hood with a pair of forward-placed scoops. The new rear-end treatment incorporated a duck-tail spoiler and a unique rear panel with 1965 Thunderbird sequential tail lights. With one refresh in factory code-M Wimbledon White paint with Guardsmen Blue side and over-the-top Lemans stripes, this GT350 fastback is equipped with its original black interior including the carpet, headliner, seat covers, steering wheel, Shelby-exclusive console with Cobra-embossed lid and original Stewart Warner gauges, and date-correct seat belts with reels. Powered by a date-code-correct J-code 302 CI 4-barrel V-8, the Shelby is also optioned with automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt steering column, tinted glass and rare factory air conditioning. The aluminum 10-spoke Shelby wheels are wrapped in the correct E70x15 Goodyear Polyglas Speedway tires. The GT350 retains its original sheet metal, including the floor pans and the early production square quarter-panel marker lights, along with the factory fiberglass hood and decklid. The correct factory markings are still intact, as is the original assembly line buck tag. The Shelby comes with an Elite Marti Report and extensive maintenance and service records.

This Shelby GT350 convertible is one of 404 produced by Shelby Automotive for 1968. As Shelby No. 02884, it rolled off the A.O. Smith Company assembly line on March 8, 1968, and was delivered to Nagle Ford in Rochester, New York, where it was sold new to Frank Fulunker. A rotisserie restoration in the 1990s included a repaint in Candyapple Red and undercarriage detailing including red-oxide primer. With 73,120 miles, the Shelby retains its original sheet metal. The date-code-correct J-code 302 CI 4-barrel V-8 is equipped with the factory Holley carburetor, which has been rebuilt by a Holley expert. The drivetrain consists of the highly desirable 4-speed transmission with 3.89:1 rear axle. Extras include tilt-steering column and Shelby 10-spoke aluminum wheels with white-letter radial tires. After three years of building Shelbys in Los Angeles, Carroll Shelby relinquished 1968 production to Ford, which moved final assembly to A.O. Smith where the GT350 and GT500 Shelbys received updated fiberglass body panels and other components to make them look different than standard Mustangs. Significantly, the front end got a facelift with a larger grille opening, fog lamps and a pair of scoops in the hood. The new rear-end modifications included a duck-tail spoiler and unique rear panel with 1965 Thunderbird sequential tail lights. As the Shelby Mustang shifted from all-out performance to more of a “Road Car,” as it was described in advertising, the 1968 models were enhanced inside by the Mustang’s Deluxe interior plus special console with padded Shelby arm rest, dual gauge pods and a roll bar for convertibles. All 1968 Shelbys came with the Mustang’s heavy-duty suspension. This 1968 Shelby GT350 comes with documentation including the build sheet, owner’s manual with stamped VIN, Marti Report and binder with restoration information.
