There are few people who would disagree with the importance of the 1969 Camaro in the history of American muscle cars, and the optional Rally Sport packaging for that year is still a very attractive and desirable part of that heritage. Showing code X33 on the trim tag, this factory Camaro RS Z28 model is among the pinnacle of desirability of first-generation F-bodies featuring Chevrolet small-block powerplants.
The 1967-69 Camaros were an outgrowth of the exploding “pony car” packages with a long list of options to meet any need from 6-cylinders to the COPO-installed 427s. Of course, RPO Z28 was in its third year as a special vehicle release from Chevrolet, done primarily to homologate unique competition components for the SCCA’s Trans Am circuit. The primary part of this release was the exclusive 302/290 HP V-8 engine, which came with a ZL2 cowl-induction hood, large Holley carburetor and special internal parts that were selected for higher-RPM durability. This was backed with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Of course, opting for the additional RS equipment meant styling changes to the package, adding the hideaway headlamps, more trim-line brightwork and sport-related upgrades inside.
This Camaro features a Dusk Blue exterior with white stripes. The black interior has the premium houndstooth bucket seats, an AM/FM radio, the 120 MPH speedometer, in-dash clock and console with chrome shifter and gauge package. The Z28 option also meant the car would receive the special F41 suspension components as well as the front air dam and rear spoiler, all of which was actually designed for functionality in racing competition. The only significant visible change from stock are the set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires, which are mounted on trimmed 15-inch Rally wheels. The legacy of the Z28 is well-deserved, and one like this, combining upscale changes by associating it with the RS option, created a car more than capable of both turning corners and turning heads.

A Road Runner on steroids, the Superbird was Plymouth’s way of bringing a gun to a knife fight. Cars like this 21,838-mile wing car were built late in 1969 to do just one thing—get Richard Petty back home in a Chrysler product and win some superspeedway races. The Road Runner had been named the 1969 Motor Trend Car of the Year, and this version took the aspects of aero-styling learned from the Charger Daytona program and applied them to a slightly redesigned Road Runner shell for the 1970 model season.
This four-owner car still hosts its original engine, transmission and interior, making it among the select examples that have retained serious originality. Moreover, the U-code 440/375 HP V-8 Super Commando engine is backed by its original 4-speed manual transmission, meaning this car also came from the factory with the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter rather than the column-style automatic handle. Painted in Alpine White, one of the six mandated exterior colors chosen to keep production simple, this car has the mandatory black vinyl top which covered factory rear window changes. Its original black interior hosts bucket seats, AM radio, podded dash design and Beep-Beep horn steering wheel center. Indeed, large Road Runner Superbird graphics are affixed to the towering rear wing, as is the word Plymouth spelled out on the quarter panels, stylized nose cone, fender-mounted air extractor scoops, hood pins and chrome exhaust tips, all from the factory. Rounding out the package are 14-inch Rallye wheels with Goodyear Polyglas raised-white-letter tires.
Benefitting from a comprehensive restoration by Randy DeLisio of Lyons, New York, this car has its original broadcast sheet, owner's manual, numerous photos, extensive receipts and paperwork for its provenance. The King came back, and the Superbird proved to be the winner before NASCAR rules changes made it uncompetitive. Today considered the highlight of any serious collection of muscle cars, this ‘Runner example retains the attitude that helped establish the legacy of the Superbird.

With the factory transport stickers, window sticker and protective plastic still intact, this 2017 Shelby GT350R presents as delivered to the dealer. Of the 906 R-models produced that year, only 264 came in Shadow Black, with just 176 of those carrying matte black Lemans stripes bordered by red pin striping. Ford offered the 2017 Shelby GT350 and GT350R in limited numbers as track-ready Mustangs with many unique high-performance components including Ford’s first-time use of a flat-plane crankshaft as found in exotics like Porsche and Ferrari.
With its 8,200 RPM redline, the 5.2L DOHC V-8 generates 526 HP, the most ever for a naturally aspirated Ford engine. With handling already advanced thanks to the S550 Mustang’s independent rear suspension, the modern Shelby improves track performance with another Ford first—MagneRide adaptive suspension with magnetorheological dampers that adjust automatically and immediately based on input from wheel-positioning sensors. Making the most of the high-tech suspension are Michelin tires and Brembo brakes, 6-piston at the front and 4-piston at the rear. Optimized for aerodynamics, the front bodywork is made from aluminum and sloped 2 inches lower than a standard Mustang GT to increase downforce at higher speeds.
All 2017 GT350s came with 6-speed manual transmission and 3.73 Torsen limited-slip differential. Adding to the standard GT350 track capabilities, the R-model supplies a more aggressive front splitter, uniquely shaped carbon-fiber rear wing, special chassis tuning and unique 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For weight savings, the GT350R comes without a rear seat, exhaust resonators or extras like an audio system, rearview camera or auxiliary gauges. As a like-new example of Ford’s most impressive track-ready Mustang, this 2017 Shelby GT350R with 15 miles offers a rare opportunity to acquire an exhilarating Shelby for open track days or a collection.

One of only 217 Corvette Grand Sport coupes produced with a red interior, this 1996 example from the esteemed Eddie Vanoy Collection has been well preserved with just 177 miles. It is optioned with the Delco Bose stereo, six-way power driver’s seat, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual remote heated mirrors and halogen headlamps.
The Grand Sport was a limited-edition model with a total production output of just 1,000 units—810 coupes and 190 convertibles. The Grand Sport paid homage to the legendary competition Corvette of the same name that was raced in the 1963 season with drivers Jim Hall, Roger Penske, Augie Pabst and Dick Thompson. The 1996 Grand Sport—RPO Z16—was visually identifiable by its exclusive paint livery in Admiral Blue with white stripes and bright red hashes across the left front fender. It came equipped with the highest output LT4 engine fitted with aluminum cylinder heads, which generated 330 HP. Available only with the mandatory 6-speed manual, the Grand Sport also featured the black 5-spoke ZR1-style wheels with ultra-wide P315/35ZRx17 rear tires and add-on rear fender flares.
Model-year 1996 was the final year of the C4 Corvette that was produced 1983-1996. Chevrolet placed focal emphasis on both weight savings and suspension engineering on this generation by replacing the previous steel springs with a transverse-mounted fiberglass mono-leaf spring in both the front and rear. This drastically reduced weight and served as an anti-roll bar for increased cornering stability. Fitted with a 5-link independent rear suspension, fully independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes and wide contact patch Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires, this 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is a formidable performance icon of its generation that delivers both exceptional acceleration, handling and braking.
