This 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 coupe presents in like-new condition with just 140 miles on the odometer. The ZR1 established its status as the top performer in any Corvette lineup in 1970, and it maintains that reputation in the fourth generation introduced in 2019. The new ZR1 pushes Corvette to its highest level ever with the most power, the most advanced performance and the highest top speed of any production Corvette ever offered. Every aspect of the ZR1, from its athletic appearance to its generous use of carbon fiber and other extremely lightweight materials, is focused on maximizing performance.
Like its predecessors, the heart of the ZR1 is its engine; derived from the all-aluminum, dry-sump Z06 powerplant and mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, it displaces 6.2L and is force-fed through a four-vane Roots-type supercharger. The result is 755 HP and 715 lb-ft of torque, both records for Corvette performance that deliver the highest top speed in Corvette history at 212 MPH. The ZR1 employs a new four-mode exhaust system providing four different sound profiles: Track, Sport, Tour and Stealth, allowing the driver to announce his arrival with a thunderous roar or to creep through the neighborhood without being noticed. A sophisticated approach to chassis tuning brings Magnetic Selective Ride Control together with Performance Traction Management and the Electronic Limited-Slip Differential for full control at the limit, their effect translated into astonishing road holding and braking through Brembo high-performance carbon fiber disc brakes and 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires on Premium Black aluminum wheels.
This example’s black paint is complemented with a red-on-black interior with Napa heated and ventilated sport seats memory package, AM/FM stereo with Apple CarPlay, universal home remote, and a performance data and video recorder. An adjustable high-wing rear spoiler and a carbon fiber front splitter and end caps complete this stunning ZR1 coupe.

Buick GSX 1970, Estados Unidos

Sold new at Speight Buick, Inc., in Hollywood, California, this Buick GSX is one of just 187 finished in shining Apollo White paint, one of only two colors available in this ground-pounding, limited-production Buick muscle machine. General Motors’ intermediate A-body models were reaching full potency by 1970, the result of the corporate decision to let the displacement genie out of the bottle and allow more than 400 CI in its mid-sized offerings. It would be the final chapter in a story that began when Pontiac dropped its powerful 389 CI V-8 into the 1964 Tempest to create the GTO. The Chevelle SS, Oldsmobile 442 and Buick GS all went on muscle-building programs, but the GS, lacking the bold image of the others, became the perennial wallflower: until 1970, that is. That’s when the suits at Flint finally got their act together and unleashed an attractively restyled GS sporting a brand-new 455 CI big-block V-8 rated at 350 HP and a monstrous 510 lb-ft of torque.
More than just raw power, the new GS enjoyed handsome new styling that was at its best in the optional GSX that completely shook off Buick’s sedate image. Available only in Apollo White and Saturn Yellow, the $1,200 GSX package included a heavy-duty manual or automatic transmission, Positraction, F41 Rallye Ride Control suspension, front and rear spoilers, contrasting body accent graphics, larger Goodyear Polyglas tires, a matte-black hood-mounted tach and bucket seats.
This 1970 Buick GSX was restored by noted marque expert Dave Kleiner to its present award-winning condition. This Buick is well-equipped with its Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, variable-ratio power steering, power front disc brakes, factory air conditioning, Soft Ray-tinted glass, center console, convenience group and AM radio with an 8-track player. Documentation includes Wayne Roberts GS Historical Society paperwork.

The Age of Aquarius came to life for Buick fans in 1970. Taking a page from the noted space program, new GSX models, like this car, were an excellent way to introduce the new-for-1970 455 CI engine option. The GSX designation meant more than a simple horsepower piece, however, even with a laughably low 350 HP coupled to the Detroit’s then-highest ever 510 lb-ft torque rating. GSX buyers went into the dealership looking for the hot graphics, special emblems, hood scoops, deck wings and one of the most upscale American supercars of that era.
With a rotisserie restoration completed in 2007 by Then & Now Automotive Restoration in Marietta, Georgia, this exemplary Buick is documented with its original Protect-O-Plate. Sold new at George King and Sons Inc. in Algonquin, Illinois, this car has been seen in multiple national publication articles and is listed as No. 202 in GSX registry. It is one of 81 produced with its 455/350 HP engine and 4-speed, and one of only 19 such vehicles registered to date. It also happens to be car No. 19 of the 678 total GSX produced in 1970. With its matching-numbers 455 CI and Muncie close-ratio 4-speed transmission and 3.42 Positraction differential intact, it has just 31,767 believed-original miles on the clock. The correct carburetor, distributor, alternator and starter are on it, as well as power steering and brakes, factory gauges with a hood-mounted tachometer, and dual exhaust.
Painted in brilliant factory-correct Saturn Yellow with a black interior, inside it hosts bucket seats and a console, floor shift, the factory GSX-only sport steering wheel and the high-quality design, materials and fitment expected from a Buick vehicle offering. Riding on 15-inch chrome 5-spoke wheels and a set of Goodyear G60-15 Polyglas GT tires, there is nothing about this car that is subtle. This historically important model release had street creed from day one. Nope, it’s not your father’s Buick; it’s yours.

When production of the original Chevrolet Camaro ceased at the end of the 2002 model year, most believed that was the end of the line. It was a welcome surprise when a totally new fifth-generation Camaro was introduced for the 2010 model year. This modern concept evolved into the new 2012 model, marking the 45th anniversary of the Camaro.
As always, the ZL1 was the top of the line in performance and styling, and this Black 2012 Camaro ZL1 is one of just 1,971 built. The appearance is enhanced by a power sunroof, custom blackout package and standard 20-inch black forged aluminum 10-spoke wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The raised reverse hood scoop features a large ZL1 badge. The interior is leather with suede microfiber inserts, heated power seats and contrasting red stitching, with the package including accents on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob and shift boot. Controls and conveniences include the alloy pedal covers, power steering, brakes, locks, windows and mirrors. The instrument panel features a four-pack of auxiliary gauges with boost readout, and the floors are protected by unique ZL1 floor mats. Comfort is offered by a dual-zone climate-control system.
The engine is an LSA 6.2L/580 HP aluminum-block supercharged OHV V-8 with 556 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 RPM connected to a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. The ZL1 engine also includes cast stainless steel exhaust manifolds and an engine oil cooler, and it’s topped with a bright red cover with LSA logo. The rear axle is equipped with a performance 3.73:1 final drive ratio. The chassis of this Camaro ZL1 includes five-mode Performance Traction Management and Third Generation Magnetic Ride Control suspension first introduced on the ZL1. This ultra-high performance ZL1 Camaro with 557 miles on the odometer will leave any owner lacking nothing in any driving situation.
