This 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro is one of only 30 automatic-equipped cars of the 201 produced by the factory through GM’s Central Office Production Order (COPO) program. The 1969 Yenko Super Camaros cemented Don Yenko’s prominence in the history of the muscle-car era. The Yenko COPO 9561 package included the brutish L72 427/425 HP big-block V-8. First used in the 1966 Corvette, it employed 11.0:1 compression, a high-lift, high-duration solid-lifter cam and a high-volume 800 CFM Holley 4-barrel on an aluminum intake manifold. A cowl-induction hood, heavy-duty Muncie 4-speed or 400 Turbo Hydra-Matic, BE-code 4.10 12-bolt Positraction rear end, four-core radiator and F41 suspension completed the 9561 specification. These were augmented by the COPO 9737 Sports Car Conversion option that included power front disc brakes, 13/16-inch front sway bar, a 140 MPH speedometer and a three-gauge cluster under the dash. This beautifully restored Daytona Yellow Yenko Camaro was originally shipped in September 1969 along with three Yenko Chevelles to Grossman Chevrolet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fitted with D80 front and rear spoilers, rare Z21-style trim, a black vinyl roof and the original black interior, it was delivered from the factory with a column shifter and was converted by Yenko to a Hurst Dual Gate floor shifter. It additionally features optional power steering, and it rolls on Torq Thrust wheels with Yenko center caps and F70-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs. Only six Yenko Camaros are known to exist with this car’s combination of Daytona Yellow paint and automatic transmission; this example stands out with excellent documentation that includes a COPO Connection Certificate of Authenticity, NCRS Shipping Data Report, a copy of the delivery schedule and the serial number is listed on the Yenko Inventory List. Offered from the Paul Offutt Yenko Collection, this is a uniquely optioned 1969 Yenko Camaro.

This 1970 GT350 is part of an interesting footnote in Shelby Mustang history. At the end of the original Shelby era, a number of 1969 Shelbys remained unsold heading into the 1970 model year. Instead of trying to market them as 1969 models, Ford sent the leftover Shelbys to contracted performance shop Kar Kraft, where they were updated into 1970 models with hood stripes, a front spoiler and new VIN. Only 789 were converted, including just 261 GT350 fastbacks like this example in Wimbledon White with blue stripes. With 12,557 believed-original miles, the Shelby features its matching-numbers 351 Windsor V-8 and many original components, including the Dark Red interior, Lucas fog lamps and 5-spoke Shelby Magstar wheels. According to its Elite Marti Report, the GT350 was shipped new to Ed Martin Inc. in Indianapolis with a 3-speed automatic transmission, 3.25 Traction-Lok differential, power steering and power front disc brakes. Like all 1968-70 Shelbys, the GT350 was completed on the A.O. Smith assembly line in Ionia, Michigan, where stripped-down Mustang SportsRoofs and convertibles received their unique Shelby components. For 1969-70, the Shelbys differed dramatically from standard Mustangs with a fiberglass nose, NACA-scooped hood, side scoops and a spoilered rear end with sequential Thunderbird tail lights and center-mounted exhaust port. Inside, the Deluxe Mustang interior was enhanced with a roll bar, unique 140 MPH speedometer and a console-mounted gauge pod for ammeter and oil pressure. Although not reflected in the final 290 HP rating, the factory 351W cast-iron intake manifold was replaced by a Shelby aluminum version topped by an Autolite 4-barrel carburetor and cold-air-induction air cleaner. One of just 32 Shelbys produced in Wimbledon White with a Dark Red interior and blue side stripes for 1970, this end-of-the-era GT350 is fitted with new Goodyear F60-15 Polyglas tires and comes with its original build sheet.
