From the “Sorry, Not Sorry” guys came the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This very-limited edition vehicle from Dodge could actually be considered the continuation of the Hemi Darts of the past, except the Darts were never street-legal, not as stylish, nor, when new, near as fast. The SRT Demon in the Vannoy collection is one of the 3,300 total built and has been driven only 37 miles since new. Capable of running under the 10-second range in optimal stock tune, a big part of any Demon is the extra-cost ($1 at the time) Demon crate package. Those who failed to get the speed equipment add-on fast stuff have regretted it, and this example will include the Demon crate in its sale.
Under the hood is a thundering, no-holds-barred 6.2L/840 HP Hemi V-8 engine. Supercharged and capable of actually hoisting the front wheels off the pavement, it is backed by the TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and this car came new with the Drag mode suspension, Line/Lock, after-run cooler, launch assist control, a transbrake and torque reserve. The SRT drive options are helped by three-mode adaptive damping and 4-piston lightweight Brembo brakes, and the performance shift indicator signals each shift point if desired. This car has the Pitch Black exterior with a matched black interior, featuring the full complement of Laguna Alcantara seats, with heated and ventilated front seats and the rear passenger seating.
Further differentiating it from the old Dart is the dual-zone climate control, a power tilt/telescopic wheel, premium audio equipment with CarPlay and Sirius capability, and the rear back-up camera. The original window sticker remains with this car as well. The crew at Dodge made their point, and this special car, like the more race-bred versions of yore, would not be repeated. If you missed out the first time, here’s a Demon with both great race-level gear and the full complement of deluxe options. Sorry, Not Sorry.

Officially introduced at Detroit in 2014, the new Chevrolet Corvette C7.R chalked up North American Endurance Cup Series wins at Long Beach, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport). Following victories scored in 2015 at the Daytona Rolex 24 and Sebring 12 Hours, Chevrolet launched the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition, honoring the on-track achievements of Corvette Racing and the C7.Rs built by Pratt & Miller and Chevrolet.
Interestingly, the debut of the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition came before Corvette Racing won the GTE-Pro class at the 2015 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that June. Just 500 examples were produced, all bearing sequential serial numbers. All carried the Z06 option including the 6.2L/650 HP supercharged V-8 engine, suspension, brakes, aero and wheel upgrades, plus the aerodynamic, brake, chassis and tire enhancements of the Z07 package to create the ultimate high-performance Corvette for the road. This C7.R Edition also includes Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat paint, the C7.R Edition graphics package, yellow brake calipers, black wheels with yellow accent strips and Corvette Racing-logo center caps, visible carbon fiber ground effects package and hood section, plus Spectra Gray Metallic grilles and vents.
The Jet-Black leather interior includes suede microfiber accents on the instrument panel and doors, suede microfiber trim for the Competition sport seats, steering wheel and shifter, yellow contrast stitching throughout, high-gloss carbon fiber interior trim and Corvette Racing sill plates. A special indoor car cover was also included with C7.R graphics. In addition to dual-zone climate control, MyLink Bose audio, navigation, heated and ventilated Napa leather seats and contrasting yellow stitching, comfort and convenience items are too numerous to fully list. Offered in virtually new condition with 6 miles since new, this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R Edition is a rare one-of-500 example celebrating Corvette Racing’s stunning victory record.

Driven only 7 miles and exceedingly fresh in every detail, this 2018 Ford Shelby GT350R offered from the Eddie Vannoy Collection remains in the original packaging, including the factory window sticker, plastic interior coverings and the protective film covering the rear spoiler. That state of preservation, as preferable as it is to many a collector, is far from the GT350R’s most attractive feature, for this is a car made to run, to attack any race track in the great uncompromising tradition of the original Shelby-modified SCCA racer.
The GT350R is arguably the pinnacle muscle car in Ford’s history, as it is propelled by the most sophisticated and potent naturally aspirated engine ever to power a Mustang and balanced by sensational handling and braking. The essence of the GT350R is its 5.2L, 32-valve V-8 engine. Known inside Ford as “Voodoo,” it was designed from the start for extended high-speed operation and is exclusive to the GT350 as the only engine in the Ford lineup with a flat-plane crankshaft. A feature central to the car’s character, this design contributes to efficient exhaust plumbing and scavenging and improved high-speed balance. At full song—a soaring 7,500 RPM—it emits a piercing bellow as it churns 526 HP through a new dual-mass flywheel, twin-disc clutch and a revised Tremec TR3160 6-speed manual transmission to a Torsen 3.73:1 differential.
The GT350’s standard features include Magneride damping, quad-tip dual exhaust, Brembo disc brakes, air conditioning, AM/FM stereo, Autodim rear-view mirror, keyless entry and HID projector headlamps. Reversing the original’s livery, this GT350R is cloaked in Kona Blue paint with white stripes and fitted with a black interior incorporating Shelby-exclusive trim. R-model specifics include a larger front splitter and rear spoiler, stiffer springs and sway bars, transmission and differential oil coolers, and 19-inch carbon fiber wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For the peak track day experience, the GT350R is one very tough act to beat.

With two Trans Am championships and record sales on its resume, the first-generation Chevrolet Camaro looked to be a hard act to follow, but Chevrolet was far from finished. Delayed by labor strike, the 1970 Camaro arrived in February of that year to rave reviews from the motoring press. Praise was universal for the all-new Camaro Z28, which was the best, most well-rounded version of that famed performance package yet. The 108-inch wheelbase remained, but the body design was new.
Available only as a two-door fastback coupe, it bore some of the most sophisticated styling ever to emerge from GM’s styling department. Because the SCCA relaxed its engine limits to allow destroking to meet the 305 CI limit on displacement, the Z28’s original 302 CI small-block was replaced with the same 350 CI LT1 engine that first appeared in the Corvette lineup. Its presence announced by the clattering of solid lifters and snarling dual exhaust, this virtually race-ready small-block V-8 incorporated 4-bolt mains, a forged steel crank and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, 11.0:1 compression, large valves and a Holley 780 CFM 4-barrel on an aluminum intake manifold. Likely in the interest of maintaining Corvette’s position at the top of the Chevrolet performance hierarchy, the Z28 version of the LT1 was rated at 360 HP, 10 HP fewer than the Corvette. Its real-world performance, however, was every bit as sensational, especially when backed by the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission employed by this show-stopping 1970 Camaro Z28.
Combining Daytona Yellow paint with black stripes and a black bucket-seat interior, it hits all the high points with front and rear spoilers, Goodyear Polyglas GT white-letter tires on argent 5-spoke wheels, and chromed dual exhaust tips. In addition to the Z28-spec 150 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tach, the car features tinted glass, an in-dash clock, a center console with Hurst shifter, and immaculate detailing throughout.
