The Challenger T/A was a once-ever release, allowing Dodges being campaigned back in 1970 by Sam Posey and his SCCA Trans-Am team to wear the special hood, scoop and spoiler package the factory had developed. In this incredible no-reserve opportunity, offered here is the only Challenger T/A constructed with black paint with a contrasting white interior and top. Moreover, the car was sold new at the legendary Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago, and it has wonderful provenance to that effect, including the original bill of sale, advance shipping notice and sales invoice info from Grand-Spaulding. Of course, all T/A models are already special. Under the unique fiberglass hood—part of the exclusive N94 fresh-air package—is the 340 Six Pack topped with a trio of Holley carbs and equipped with chrome-tipped side-exit exhaust, exclusive to this model in Dodge’s history. The car was also equipped with a performance-related driveline, the A833 4-speed transmission and 3.91:1 Sure Grip differential, plus heavy-duty suspension parts, fast-ratio steering and power front disc brakes. Exterior equipment includes the rear spoiler and rear-mounted radio antennae, body-color sport mirrors with driver’s-side remote, locking gas cap and black T/A graphics. The latter creates a stunning accent to the bold color choice. Inside are white vinyl front bucket seats, a center console with Hurst Pistol Grip shifter and an AM/8-track radio with dual rear speakers. The U01-coded Rallye wheel option denoted the use of E60-15s in front and larger G60-15 rear versions, a factory Hot Rod look seldom repeated by any manufacturer. Featured in multiple magazines, this spectacular car has benefitted from a rotisserie restoration completed in 2007 by Blue Star Performance in LaSalle, Illinois, with photos from that effort also included in the sale. With T/A-style 1970 Challengers continuing to grow in both interest and desirability, this opportunity to own an example that is noted as one-of-one with authentic Mr. Norm’s provenance makes your choice, quite simply, black and white.

Viper enthusiasts will appreciate all the desirable features and assets of this rare and pristine 2000 GTS ACR coupe, which at just 833 original miles is one of the most well-preserved examples extant. It is also one of the rarest, being one of only 218 ACR versions produced in 2000 and one of only 39 produced with Viper Black paint. Dodge engineers had raised the output of the venomous Viper from 400 to 450 HP in 1996, but when that proved insufficient in the face of competition from Ford’s Mustang and Chevrolet’s Corvette, the division trotted out an even meaner Viper in 1999 in the form of the GTS ACR coupe, the moniker referring to American Club Racer and underlining the new car’s mission as the ultimate American track weapon. A comprehensive exercise in re-engineering, the GTS ACR’s all-aluminum, sequentially fuel injected 8.0L V-10 engine featured high-flow K&N intake filters for an increase from 450 to 460 HP and a commensurately noticeable boost in torque, making acceleration even more formidable than before. The Viper’s “basso profundo” side exhaust remained along with all-independent suspension, but the latter was tuned up with power-assisted Brembo ventilated disc brakes, extra-stiff Hyperco springs and adjustable Koni racing shocks. The ACR retained the Viper's standard 35-series front and 30-series rear Michelin Pilots, but was upgraded with one-piece 18-inch BBS forged-aluminum wheels. Beyond the resulting improved handling, those modifications also shaved 14 pounds. Adding to the charms of the all-encompassing Competition Group package (with its hefty $10,000 price tag) in the 2000 ACR coupe offered here, its air conditioning, radio and fog lamps were also factory deletes. Shipped new to De Micco Motors, Inc., in Kingston, New York, this fabulous and rare example of the ultimate 2000 Viper comes with the window sticker, Viper Club of America brochure and extra keys.

The Dodge Viper is what happened when Bob Lutz and the Chrysler performance minds joined forces to create a new American sports car. The second-phase Viper production saw the introduction of the long-awaited GTS coupe, and as part of its race program, Dodge produced a limited run of homologated specials. This 1998 Dodge Viper GTS-R is No. 43 of only 100 examples built and shows 4,340 original miles on the odometer. The road-going representative of the first American car to win Le Mans since the Ford GT40 comes with its original welcome letter from Chrysler Plant Manager John Hinkley, along with autographed photos of winning Team Viper drivers. Under the long hood is a 460 HP version of the 8.0L V-10 good for 500 lb-ft of torque with sequential-port fuel injection and side-exit exhaust. The engine is nestled into a tubular-steel space frame with integrated cowl structure and backed up by a Borg Warner T56 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The tuned fully independent double A-arm suspension works with power-assist rack-and-pinion steering for race-proven road control. Ventilated 4-wheel disc brakes help bring the coupe back from its 185 MPH top speed. Stone white and blue stripe race livery helps define the sheet-molded composite body equipped with the GT2 aerodynamics package that utilizes a front splitter, nose winglets, aero plates, side sills and deck-mounted rear spoiler for enhanced downforce. Inside the coupe is a black and blue leather-upholstered interior with a serialized plaque mounted on the center console between bucket seats with 5-point harnesses. Special GTS-R badging joins a set of BBS forged-alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires for homologated grip on public roads. Viper GTS-R No. 43 comes with its extra set of keys and GTS-R car cover.

Originally conceived in 1988 at Chrysler’s Advanced Design Studio, the Dodge Viper was the answer to Chrysler Chairman Bob Lutz’ desire for a “re-imagined” Shelby Cobra. In fact, Carroll Shelby himself drove a pre-production Viper in its nationwide debut as the official pace car of the 1991 Indianapolis 500, just seven months before production began in November 1991. The first-generation Viper’s resin-transfer molded-plastic panels hid a welded tubular-steel space frame incorporating race-tuned unequal-length A-arm all-independent suspension, power steering and power-boosted 13-inch vented disc brakes, but its central feature was its innovative all-alloy 8.0L/400 HP V-10 engine boasting highly efficient sequential fuel injection, breathing through honest-to-goodness side exhaust—yes, just like the Cobra—and mated to a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission. The Viper’s design brief emphasized simplicity, a fact reflected in its clean, orderly cockpit layout offering well-bolstered leather-covered bucket seats, black-bezeled white-face gauges and well-placed controls. And although the Viper delivered gobs of torque right out of the gate, its about-town manners were among the best in the supercar category of the era. Because it was first offered only in roadster form, the first-generation Viper RT/10 came without exterior door handles or wind-up windows, offering instead detachable side curtains and a fold-up fabric roof panel that could be stowed away in the trunk. A very low-mileage example showing just 5,451 original miles, this 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 roadster is one of only 298 factory finished in glowing Viper Bright Yellow paint, in this case matched with a gray leather interior. This well-preserved Viper comes complete with Michelin tires on 17-inch wheels, a hardtop and soft top, side curtains, a car cover and tonneau cover, the window sticker, vehicle shipping order and a protective bra.
