Plymouth Cuda 1971, Estados Unidos

If you dislike eye-searing, head-tuning attention wherever you
show up, this amazing 1971 Cuda is probably not going to help you. After all,
this car presents in its factory-correct color combination and looks very
similar to the example that was displayed with Plymouth’s Rapid Transit System
tour in ’71. Coupled with the extensive options that were offered on the ’71
design, the car is covered in correct Curious Yellow paint contrasted with a
dramatic black top, factory billboards, shaker scoop and interior. Together,
these facets are an unmistakable representation of this final year of big-block
E-body Mopars.
Under the quivering shaker is the original matching-numbers 383
Magnum V-8 engine, the mainstay standard engine of the Cuda line and an icon in
its own right. The B-series engine is in turn backed by the A727 TorqueFlite
automatic transmission, and this car features both power steering and power
brakes. The exterior is highlighted by the large billboards with 383 callouts,
hood pins, sport mirrors, front and rear spoilers, the factory backlight louver
package, dual exhaust ending in chrome tips, road lamps and fender-mounted turn
signals. As seen, there are front and rear elastomeric bumpers on this car
today as well. Inside, light wood-grain accenting lends a touch of class to the
bucket seats with center console and Slap-Stik T-handle shifter, the Rallye
instrument cluster, AM/FM radio and three-spoke steering wheel. With both the
light and molding packages on this car, the crowning touches are the 15-inch
Rallye wheels with wide Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15 tires.
Well-remembered as one of the most extreme packages to ever
emerge from Detroit, the 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda has helped define the entire
muscle car era, with all variations now in serious demand on today’s market.
The fact that this beautiful 383-powered example restored by Paul
Christopherson of Lincoln, Nebraska, features a factory shaker hood, billboard
graphics and backlight louvers only adds to its desirability.
