Muscle and Mercury luxury collide in this rare and desirable 1969 Cougar XR-7. Power is supplied by the top-of-the-line 428 Cobra Jet, an R-code Ram Air version that also includes a hood with functional scoop, decal stripe and hood pins. Featuring the 335 HP engine, the Cougar is also prepped for thrilling performance with Competition Suspension, stout C6 automatic transmission and 9-inch rear axle with 3.00 gears in a locking differential. In addition to built-in comfort compared to its Mustang cousin, the Dark Blue Metallic hardtop is also equipped with the optional XR-7 package that adds even more upgrades to the interior with leather upholstery, map pockets, burled-walnut instrument-panel appliques, courtesy lights, passenger-side clock, visual check panel, door panels with pull handles, and full instrumentation including the tachometer.
